Veggie Visionary: Sobelmans Pub & Grill

Known for big burgers and over-the-top Bloody Marys, Sobelmans Pub & Grill in Milwaukee, Wisconsin may seem like the last place you would go for veggie- friendly cuisine. But owner Dave Sobelman attributes much of his success to listening to his guests. That’s why he started menuing a veggie burger in 2009. Today, any burger on Sobelmans’ menu can be substituted for a veggie patty—and in typical Sobelmans fashion—you’ll find some other outlandish uses on his menu too.

Veggie Visionary: Chartwells at DePaul University

As today’s students become more knowledgeable about the impact the foods they eat have on their bodies and on the environment, their desire for plant-based proteins grows. With the versatility of MorningStar Farms® veggie proteins, chefs for Chartwells Higher Education at DePaul University in Chicago, Ill. have been able to create healthy, flavorful options that deliver on student demands as well as campus sustainability and wellness initiatives.
